What is Gluten-Free?

A gluten-free diet is a diet that excludes the protein gluten found naturally in grains such as wheat, barley, and rye. Gluten give structure to the baked goods that we all love.  Without it, or a substitute product, our favorite baked goods would just be a pile of crumbs.  

Many people are going gluten-free for a variety of reasons.  Some people are told by doctors they need to follow a gluten-free diet; some people just feel better on a gluten-free diet; some parents feel their children's behavior patterns are better when eating gluten-free.  Every person's tolerance is different and can change over time.  

Initially, following this type of diet may be frustrating.  A gluten-free breakfast "on the run" along with snacking can be most difficult....meals are a challenge, too.  With time, patience and creativity, you'll find there are many foods that you can eat and enjoy while observing a natural and organic gluten-free diet.  Think of it as an adventure and enjoy the ride!
